Opened in February of 2013, this shop is the perfect option for Mini Cooper owners and enthusiasts looking for dealer-quality service at independent shop prices. Ferney Colorado, owner and lead tech, and Erik Abbott, our service writer, are both factory-certified Mini Cooper techs, with a combined 25 years of experience at a dealership. We are a small, family-owned business, with the flexibility to meet your needs and the expertise to give your Mini the TLC it deserves! Hours are MF 8-5, Saturdays 9-2. Come in and see us, and Happy Motoring in the meantime!

In addition to expertise, Ferney treats your Mini with integrity, ALWAYS. If he thinks you still have a chance of having your warranty honored, he'll educate you about your issue and send you back to the dealer. His aim is to build a long terms relationship of trust with his customers. That way, you will have the confidence that he will treat you and your Mini right every time, will come back to him in the future, and will tell your friends!

We have a wide range of specific tools for Minis, and we partner with Mini Fini to install customized hitches, bike racks, and other Mini accessories.

Ferney's Lube and Auto is also a proud sponsor of MINI 5280, our local club for Mini Cooper owners and enthusiasts.

Meet Our Owner Ferney Colorado

Always passionate about cars, Ferney Colorado learned to drive almost before he could walk. He began amateur ad hoc diagnosis for friends and family shortly thereafter and was almost always right! He has an associates degree in Automotive Technology from Denver Automotive and Diesel College (Now Lincoln) and then worked at Ralph Schomp for 8 years, ending up as a lead tech in the Mini Cooper Service department.

In 2013, the entrepreneurial bug took hold (it is in his genes, as his father owned a furniture factory), and he acquired Rocco's Automotive.

  • After purchasing a new to me MINI, there were some repairs that I needed to have done. I saw a posting for Ferney's on a couple of forums and thought it would be worth trying. They were able to get me in quickly and Ferney was able to fix what needed to be fixed as well as give me an idea of what I might have coming up for repairs. Not long after another issue came up and again I was able to get my car in quickly. I am so thankful to have found someone who is so knowledgeable about MINIs and can get the work done quickly. I will definitely be coming back for any other repairs. Thank you to Ferney and his crew for taking such good care of my MINI and Me!

  • I felt Ferney's place really gave me excellent service this past week when my MINI needed serious work. First of all, my car was at the dealer for more than a week before they looked at it, and then the amount of money they wanted to fix it was far out of my budget. So I had it towed to Ferney's because he has a good reputation for car repair on some of the online car forums in Denver. First of all, he tried to troubleshoot all the possible things that could be going on before he did the things that would cost a lot of money. Well, it turns out, in the end, I did need a clutch and flywheel (and also did a couple of other, smaller repairs). His prices were excellent, and he worked so hard to get my car back to me ASAP. Even more impressive: before he did the repairs, he showed me all the parts and explained how they work. After the repairs, he SHOWED me all the parts from the inside of my car - the broken piece that had come apart and done damage to the other parts of my clutch and why it was best to replace everything. It was clear, with all the dings and dents that the part was damaged. I was so grateful to have someone actually explain car repair to me since in the past, I have felt taken advantage of at car repair shops, being female. THANK YOU to Ferney's Lube and Auto Repair. I will be bringing my car back for you to do future repairs and maintenance!
