    Slow to no communication.

  2. Allen Says:

Picked up the car, hoping that I’d have a chance to talk with the owner, or at least a mechanic who had worked on my car.

No way. The front desk guy, Wade, all sales, but no mechanical savvy, was there only to take the credit card.

I’d been hoping to to find a fellow BMW mechanic to relate to, but Bavarian Mechanic Works is just another money pit for BMW owners.

    Avoid them.

Still no communication from Bavarian Mechanic Works.

I’ll be back with feedback in another week or so.

I’m giving Joe every chance to respond.

  4. Nathan Says:

Wade at Bavarian, advised me that they could fix my 97 BMW Window Regulator but wouldn’t do the work since I didn’t buy the part from them, even if it is brand new.

  5. Allen Says:

It has been another week, and still no response from Owner JOE has not contacted me.

To recap, I left the car with front desk guy Wade, after telling him I was the original owner of the car and was RESTORING THE CAR TO ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION.

Six days after Wade had me drop off the car, JOE’S SHOP finally looked at the car, and WADE called with an estimate.

At no time did WADE tell me that the repairs were not restorations and that the original condition of the car was compromised.

And where is JOE? Doesn’t he care about his business?

    Dear Dr Allen Sisk,
Since someone tipped me off that you were posting negative comments on this website, I have personally tried to contact you several times at the number in your e-mail of June 06, 2008, but it has given me a busy signal every time. You have not returned any of the e-mails we have sent you, nor returned any of the voicemails that Wade has left for you, so just who is it that has a communication problem here. I find it totally inappropriate that you have chosen to use this public forum to bash my business, and for absolutely no good reason. We did the work you requested, at or below quoted price, using OE parts. I fail to see your point. I respectfully request that you remove these negative comments from this website, and any other where you may have posted them. And, BTW, communication is a two-way street, and you have made no effort to fulfill your responsibility with regard to this issue.

Nathan, I am sorry you are upset that we would not install your window regulator part. Any shop that cares about their customers, and their own reputation for quality work, would do likewise. If we install a customer’s part and the perceived problem is not fixed, the customer is not happy, and we inherit an unsatisfactory situation. If the part is not an OE quality part, it may fail prematurely, and the shop gets blamed, even though the customer’s part is at fault. Even if an OE part is provided, the shop cannot warranty the job. This is not satisfactory for the customer. The shop cannot warranty the job unless they diagnose the problem, then furnish and install the parts. Therefore, we have elected not to install customer parts. If you have further concerns, please call me at (706) 860-5354, and I will be happy to discuss this situation further with you.
