I got a great recommendation from a friend to go see Mike Johns in Jeffersonville. Mike Johns in a BMW GURU. He fixed 2 or 3 of my issues on the spot! Within minutes, i was completely blown away at his humbleness and lack of greed. There aren't many business owners like him left in America.

MIkey J's is hands down the best service in Louisville and Indiana for BMW. He has as many in stock parts as the dealership and all the specialized equipmentt needed. And as far as losing his top techs thats a joke. Those techs merely followed Mikes lead he makes the shop. Autobahn has been trying to trash his name since they left but they will never be Mike Johns. He has plenty of good techs there now and they are goin strong. I know of people who actually drive from Ohio and Indianapolis and beyond to get their service done with Mike. And all the other BMW shops in town have to use him in some form in their day to days. I own a shop of my own and I strive to be like MIke.

I didn't shop around for anyone else to service my 99 BMW 323i but Mike Johns. My car has 135,000 miles on her and now the transmission is slipping in 5th gear. I have since found other BMW repair shops, all of which either worked with Mike at Sam Swope BMW or worked with Mike at his own shop. The more places I call for quotes, the more confused I am. One place tells me that I can get a new "rebuilt" transmission from BMW manufacturer, one place tells me that they say that is what they are giving you, but in reality you are getting a rebuilt from a local transmission place, i.e. Ross Brothers. If I am going to pay close to $5,000 for a transmission, shouldn't the transmission be new? I have always went to Mike Johns and have been satisfied. Everything is very expensive, even though the car is almost 10 years old. I am not sure if these guys are being truthful, or just trying to make someone else look bad, so that they can get my business. No matter which way I go, I will never truly know for sure what kind of transmission I will be getting! (New or new rebuilt or old rebuilt)Has anyone else had transmission repairs and have any advise?

These guys are the best--never go anywhere else. I buy and service my cars strictly through them--There is nothing more valuable than experience, honesty and a lack of greed. Mike appreciates and understands these cars the way some people love fine wine. Larry is top-notch and everyone there is responsive and responsible.

I took my 740I to Mike Johns To Get It serviced by my favorite tech but he no longer works there. Come to find out, the company just lost their top two techs Mark and Russell. After an exhausting search I found that they opened their own shop in Louisville and believe it or not, it's called Autobahn. The same Autobahn that has seviced Mercedes for ten years has expanded and relocated and put BMW repair under their unbrella.

Mike Johns is awesome. They are reliable, dependable, and honest. I wouldn't take my BMW anywhere else. Mike and Larry are great to work with and take great care of my car.
