I have been using European Autospecialist for more than six years to maintain and upgrade my 540i. I have always found them to be completely honest and quite knowledgeable, often advising me on how to avoid unnecessary and expensive repairs with preventive maintenance. I'm an automotive enthusiast and very up to date on BMWs, and I'm amazed at the level of service European Autospecialist provides. They not only know what they're doing, they truly care about your car and you as a customer.

I couldn't agree more after reading the quote from Eric on July 6, 2011 (4 reviews down) who said, "If you do your own routine maintenance, know anything about your car, or are under that age of 50, EAS is not the shop for you."

Am not a fan of leaving negative reviews, but it was reassuring to hear that I am not the only one with similar experiences. Was treated/spoken to the same way and was also caught off guard once by them fixing things that had not been discussed, resulting in a much higher bill (this was later fixed).

My experience at EAS was not a one-time deal, and while they were efficient and knowledgeable (and some personal friends of mine still use them), I would strongly recommend you take the extra time and research independent BMW shops around Tulsa. Ask around, see who people recommend, and why. It will be well worth your time.

Wish I had read a review like this when I first went to EAS, as I thought they were the only option other than the dealership. Hope this saves at least one person from the same mistake. Good luck!

We have attempted to identify your service visit in our records by year, car, name and date in the past year and have been unsuccessful. At EAS we take our customer feedback seriously and welcome you to come in and discuss your issues in person. We always welcome constructive criticism. We feel this helps us improve our customer service. As to your specific allegations, the majority of our customers and staff at EAS are under 50 years old. Secondly, we never do work that is not authorized by a customer as we tend not to make financial decisions for our customers. Frankly, since most of our customers 'Know" their vehicles we often discuss various service options and help them prioritize repairs. We also give help and expertise to customers who like to work on their own vehicle. It's been our experience, however, that some do-it-yourselfers do not wish to benefit from our 31 years of experience, instead preferring to demand that EAS install inferior parts or products on these quality cars in an attempt to save money. While we are always looking for ways to save customers money, we never take shortcuts on quality and safety.

So please, if you have an issue with our service feel free to discuss your concerns with us so that we better serve you and your vehicle.

I have been taking my car there for close to 10 years and I appreciate the relationship and the discussions I can have with Kurt.

European Autospecialists have worked on my BMWs for over 20 years. I've always found they did quality work at a fair price, and they really know BMWs and how to look after them. I have recommended European Autospecialists to several friends and family member.

I've had nothing but a great experience with EAS. Always helpful in explaining what needs to be done, and what may need to be done in the near future. I've never had a surprise charge, or any unauthorized work performed, in fact they will prioritize critical/noncritical repairs to accommodate my schedule and budget.

I'm well under 50 and EAS is the only shop I go to.

If you do your own routine maintenance, know anything about your car, or are under that age of 50, EAS is not the shop for you.

I have used EAS on three occasions, and each visit has mustered a condescending comment from Kurt, the owner, about my oil change, tire rotation, or brake job. Also, when I need a repair done, I research the issue so that I may speak knowledgeably but apparently they prefer to only deal with people who simply say "I don't know whats wrong. Fix it." Finally, if you are not of good ol' boy age and are deemed unworthy to be driving German engineering, there will be absolutely no customer service.

Eric, please feel free to call us or come by our shop and talk to me as it is difficult for me to respond to unsubstatiated claims to a situation and a person I don't immediately recognize. Our company is founded on customer service. It is hard to provide when you have not spoken to me personally and have chosen to hide-behind your internet anonymity.

    Thank You

I used EAS several years ago because my parents had been friends with Kurt and his wife. I took my 99 328i there and ended up being charged WAY more than I was originally quoted. I had several small issues that should have amounted to about $500 in repairs. Instead, they took it upon themselves to "fix" several things I had not given them permission to work on and walked out with a bill over $2,000. I would not recommend EAS to anyone looking to be given a fair deal.

I apologize about taking so long to respond to your commentary but I was not aware that there was an issue as you never approached me and let me know there was an issue. First point is that there was absolutely no way that my company or any of its employess would have performed an additional $1500 worth of work on anyone's car without their approval. Second point is that it is a 2-way line of communication between the car owner and the shop to keep the machine in proper repair. If you are as you claim to be, the son of a friend of my wife and I, I would think you would be even more comfortable to discuss issues you may have. I'm sorry you chose an 'ambush' method to vent your unsubstantiated claim. I feel we are a very approachable service company for anyone to call or come-by to discuss their automotive questions.

Kurt and the staff at European Autospecialist love BMWs and took great care of my 1998 323ic Convertible for 2 years when I lived in Tulsa back in 2005. BMW parts and service at affordable prices.

Everyone at EAS have always been extreemly helpful and thorough when dealing with my car. They have always serviced my 1996 328i since I purchased it a few years back and with their help at 170000 Miles it is still running strong.

I was happy with EAS. They were extremely helpful. The shop was very emaculate and the equipment was very advanced. They were so much better than going to the dealer!
