Meet Steve, Owner of SK Motorsport

While in business college in the early 1990s Steve aquired a passion for European cars. He started with building a 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI from the ground up modifying the suspension and swapping the engine for one with more horsepower. Using contacts he made through his current employer at the time, he was able to import many hard to find European parts for his Volkswagen project. Steve using what he learned in business school realized a demand he could fill in the local economy and accross the country buy importing European car parts and offering them for sale. With selling the parts came the opportunity for installation and helping customers with their car's other needs. From the garage of a small rented house on a busy street in Bellingham, SK Motorsport was born.

SK Motorsport has grown from a one-man show to a full facility, staffed with quality team members. Our loyal customers and their families are what continue to drive Steve forward in providing the highest quality service that makes the business what it is today. Steve is proud to say that each technician is certified and continues their education by attending classes and training regularly. This keeps the staff updated with the changing technology of today’s vehicles. Steve believes what really sets SK Motorsport apart from other shops is the dedication and enthusiasm of the highly motivated staff.
