I took my 1990 BMW 750 there after I had taken my car to the dealership in Seattle for two times to fix a stumble and missfire when taking off from a stop (which they were never able to fix). The Seattle dealership suggested replacing the plugs (which were replace less than a thousand miles earlier and the wiring harness (though they were unsure if that would fix it).

Strickly BMW fixed it quickly (on one try) and at reasonable cost (it was a bad coil on one cylinder bank). I am very satisfied with the knowledge and quality of their work.

They are very competent, but also very expensive; probably best to save them for complex issues. A routine scheduled inspection with them will set you back $500, and frankly that is just a glorified oil change that any moderately competent shop can do. When I was there last, they pointed out that my wipers needed replacing, and offered to do it for me, at $80 for parts and labor.
