I first found Florida Auto & Transmission Repair when I moved here two years ago through an online search on BMW discussion boards. I was searching to find a reputable transmission shop who would know how to tackle the complex BMW transmission problems and not just pretend to know what they are doing & rip me off. The review i had read talked about how personable Tim is and how he spent time explaining everything as well as doing exceptional work. I found this to be accurate and more!

All i can say its that Tim and Bobby have been nothing but professional since i tool my 2007 335i to them back in the fall of 2013. They diagnosed the problem immediately and took care of any warranty issues for me. I received my car back promptly and was more than pleased with the rebuilt transmission. Tim & Bobby are very personable and feel like family. They treat their customers as family and that to me makes all the difference too. Recently, i had my car brought back in for several issues which they promptly diagnosed and repaired for me. I also needed some body work. Although they do not directly do body work, they did not hesitate to find someone they trusted to do the work for me. Plus, they handled all the logistics for me which was such an enormous help and took a big burden off of me as i have a busy work schedule.

The work they have done on my cars is beyond exceptional! I would highly recommend them to any BMW owner or anyone needing honest, professional, personable, and exceptional service!

Thank you both for your outstanding service and many thanks to our expert mechanics behind the scenes too!

We purchased a used 2001 BMW 325i for our daughter to use back and forth to school and to take to college. I knew there were some mechanical issues to be addressed when I purchased it; however, I did not know that it would need transmission work. The car would occasionally go into “safe mode” and sometimes would not reverse. After much research I knew it could be as simple as a sensor or as bad as a new transmission. I started by taking it to the BMW dealership to get the diagnoses and you can guess the result. “You need a new transmission and that will be $7K-$8K”. I took it to AAMCO and an independent shop for more opinions. All came back with the same answer and I never believed that they truly knew what was causing the problem. I finally found Florida Auto & Transmission Repair online and called Tim to talk through the problem. Even though it was after hours on Saturday, he spent time with me discussing the problem and I could tell he cared and knew what he was talking about. I drove the car about 50 miles to his shop. He spent about an hour doing a full diagnostic (more than anyone else) and could not immediately identify the problem. I decided to leave it for more testing. The next day Tim found the issue and finally the diagnoses made sense. Cooling fluid and transmission fluid were mixing and breaking down the soft parts of the transmission. Tim repaired the transmission and fixed the cooling system issues for well under half the original BMW estimate just for the transmission replacement. Yeah it was still hard to pay out for car repairs, but I knew we were fixing the real problem. In fact if I would have simply replaced the transmission and not addressed the cooling system issue the transmission would have failed again in time. I am happy with the service and would highly recommend this place if you want real answers and a fair price!!

I highly recommend Florida Auto & Transmission Repair to anyone that needs transmission service or parts. I recently had another transmission shop attempt to repair and fix my transmission with no success. Dealing with them turned into a huge nightmare that to this day has not ended. Not only did Florida Transmission fix the damage from the previous shop they also provided great documentation, friendly customer service, a quick turn around at a reasonable price. My advice to anyone who is looking for transmission service. "Don't try to cut corners and let the guys at Florida Transmission help solve your Transmission problems." You guys rock! Thanks again for the help!
