Testimonials

  • Everyone is great to talk with, they provided an estimate and fully explained everything that my car needed for repairs. They also explained what was necessary and what could wait until a later date. No surprises. Thankfully they provided me a loaner for 12 days. When I picked up my car it was freshly washed and no greasy steering wheel. I love my car again.

  • I've been unsung Atlantic Motorcar for years. The service, treatment, timeliness and consideration has always been excellent. Big town expertise with a small town attitude. Atlantic makes taking a car into the garage pleasant!

I arranged for my car to be dropped off at 9:30 AM, being assured if it arrived then it would be taken care of before they broke for lunch. The appointment was for 10AM, and they requested it be there earlier for them to start sooner. At 2:30 PM I get a call that the part they ordered was wrong! If they had started when they claimed they would, they would have found the part was wrong soon enough to deal the issue. They claimed they could have the right part the next morning so it was available! Not my idea of good customer service.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, your car was dropped off just after 9:30AM, and we did get it into the workshop for service a short time later. Replacement of the component entailed removal of a good part of the interior, it was only after that was done some hours later we discovered the part was for the wrong side of the car, while this was a BMW dealer mistake, we accept full responsibility to correct that. Once we were aware that the part was wrong, our service advisors spent a good part of the morning trying to obtain the correct part locally, calling dealers from New Hampshire to Maine. We had intended to send a parts driver down, even to NH, to pick up the part so we could still finish your car the same day. You were called just after lunch with an update, while we were still searching for the part. Unfortunately the part in question was not stocked locally, but could only be gotten the next day if we ordered overnight. We called and explained the situation to you, offering to pay for the overnight air shipping and delivery costs, and to put you in a loaner car at no cost to you, but you declined the service and instead uttered several profanities to the service advisor who was attempting to help you. It was at that point we requested you pick up your vehicle, and there would be no charge to you. Your car was returned, washed and vacuumed. We'd like to make sure each and every customer has an excellent experience at Atlantic Motorcar, and if you look at our customer reviews you'll see we have exceptional ratings (the highest in Maine of any BMW service point), all we ask is that you be respectful to our staff as they are to you.

I bring my BMW to Atlantic Motorcar because I like the personal service. Within a short time, I felt like they k new me. T he folks at Atlantic are very up front and genuine. I always feel like they are telling the truth. I want good care and many places didn't know how to fix my car. They have t echnicians who know h ow to service my Mercedes. I am much happier than when I was driving to the dealer in Scarborough. Atlantic Motorcar also has a nice area if I have to wait and they provide loaner cars at no charge.
