Came to Ed Cordel's to get a check up on my Z4. Bought it used and wanted to make sure it was in good shape. Ed did a few checks on it and an over all exam. Clean bill of health! Ed and the team are very cordial and honest. Straight said there was not need of anything. Did try to up sell me on anything, just good honest service. BTW, the crew includes Zoey the German Shepard. Very sweet puppy.

Bottom line is my oil was 3 quarts low after Cordel European Motors in Elkhorn allegedly did a proper oil change last November. I get that the engine might consume some oil, but not 3 quarts. My new mechanic says they probably didn't fill it all the way. I also asked them to address a check engine light and Cordel basically reset it and sent me on my way, told me it was nothing...only to have the light come back on 5 miles up the road.

The people at this shop are very nice, and I believe Ed knows his stuff. However, I don't believe Ed's staff is well trained because these are simple things. The check engine light was a $50 thermostat. Swapped it out with another mechanic and it's been solid. These seem like fairly straightforward diagnostics and putting the right amount of oil in? Really? Very disappointed.
