    Having owned BMWs since 1978, when the marque was obscure and BMW owners flashed their lights at each other as they passed, I'm not a "Johnny come lately" to having them repaired. Needless to say, as the insurance commercial states "I know a thing or two" about (car repair shops).

    A few years ago, I discovered Upstate Imports Auto Repair very near to where I live actually so I "googled" the shop to read the reviews, just like the one I'm writing. I had never heard of them at the time but the reviews were very good. It seems they had built a new shop near me and had been for years in a previous location near Syracuse.

    Cutting to the chase, I called and made an appointment and have had many appointments since then. BMW boards on the internet urge owners "not to go to the stealer (dealer). Instead, find a good independent shop"

    Upstate Imports is that "shop". These are nice, honest and skilled professionals. I love cars so I would sometimes just stop by to look at what Jeff (the owner) had on the lot for repair. He would always take time out of his busy scheduled to speak to me. He or his assistant Matt would give me a ride home if I needed one.

    Initially, I thought it too good to be true, as my relationship developed with Jeff and his people. But time and again, I had a positive experience and I am not alone. Every review I've read essentially confirms my opinion.

    So, if your car needs repair, do your self a favor and call Upstate. You will not be disappointed.
