Most honest mechanic I've ever met! Highly recommend going here to get your vehicle inspected. Everyone is extremely nice and patient with you. They explain everything and answer any questions you have! Highly recommend and will be going back to them for life!

When you live in Michigan and buy a BMW in Pennsylvania, you better be blessed with a reliable, honest, experienced service source out there for a PPI (post-purchase, in my own case). For me, Jan's was just that. See discovered some important service needs that if uncorrected would've made the drive home a very iffy proposition. As it was, their crew completed the repairs--including a new radiator and the troublesome oil-pan--in time for me to make the trip home safely and without issue. And, yes, the seller did participate int he cost of the repairs. I wholeheartedly recommend Jan's Auto Service.
Anything I can't do myself will be going there. Jan is a no BS guy and completely trustworthy. I had a full motor swap, clutch, and minor transmission work done. More than fair pricing and done in a timely fashion. The car actually looked better upon being returned. Very highly recommend this shop!

I found Jan on this site while looking for a shop to go over my new to me BMW 335XI. You can tell from the cars in his lot that he focuses on BMW. Jan is extremely nice and honest man to deal with. He mounted a new front right wheel, since mine was cracked and he went through all of my concerns that I had with the car. I will be using Jan as my main service technician for all things related to the servicing of my BMW.
While I was there another customer came in and we started talking. He has been coming to Jan for a long time and had nothing but positive things to say. After today I know I have made the right decision to bring my BMW to Jan.

Drove from New York out to Lancaster to check out a 1988 325 convertible. I do some a lot of my own work on my vehicles but out in PA without a lift or even a floor jack I needed an independent specialist second opinion. So I found Jan on bimmershops,.com, made an appt. and arranged with the seller to take the car for a few hours. When I arrived at Jan's, there were like 40+ bimmers (no klidding) in the lot stacked three and four deep so I knew I was at the right place. Jan spent an hour going over the car and in addition to reviewing everything with me verbally, he provided a written catalogue of everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. Staff also friendly and accommodating. (I am used to rude New Yorkers). Highly recommend Jan.
