In a day and age of customer service and craftsmanship in auto shops being a thing of the past, this place is setting the bar very high.
I bought a used Mini Cooper for my daughter from a dealership that made no guarantees or warranties when their cars leave the lot. Two days later, Jill noticed her "new" car wasn't shifting gears properly.
When we took it to Bimmerwerks, I knew immediately that I'd come to the right place. Their shop was super clean, neat, and orderly even though they were obviously busy servicing other customers' cars. Bill took me for an extended test drive and let me know that before opening his shop here, he was the service manager of a large BMW/Mini dealership. I noticed that several times he referred to Minis as "our cars". That made me feel good.
What made me feel REALLY good though, was the way they went about informing me throughout the diagnostic/cost estimation procedure. Joshua kept me informed every step of the way, and their pricing was very fair.
(The culprit in this case was a damaged transmission pan that was severely dented right at the filter housing, keeping the fluid from flowing properly.)
They got my daughter's car up to snuff quickly, I left there feeling like I didn't get ripped off, and when she had a concern two weeks later, they took time to check it out thoroughly (no issues found) and wouldn't let me pay them for a diagnostic!
I highly recommend this place to anyone with a BMW or Mini. Tuscaloosa has been needing an independent shop like this for years and years.
