I am writing this review because of my great disappointment with the horrible service that Team Motometrics performed on my 1994 vintage BMW with less than 110,000 miles on it. I will outline the facts here and readers can come to their own conclusion as to whether their failure to correct a coolant leak was the result of gross negligence, severe incompetence or plain old dishonesty, none of which speak well of this place. After moving to FL and having my car transported here, I discovered a coolant leak. After researching many car repair shops and listed reviews, I settled on this one. The couple who own and run the shop seemed hardworking and attentive. Don’t let such behavior fool you, as it did me. Immediately after my first visit, I brought my car back to report that there was still a coolant leak coming from the same area. They assured me that their initial work was done correctly, pointing to their framed mechanics’ certificates of learning and explained that older cars usually have a series of coolant hoses that go bad. Although I was skeptical, I authorized the work. This time, just like on my initial visit, the owner expressed a desire to buy the car from me saying he “hated to see me keep spending lots of money on repairs.” The second “alleged” repair did not fix the coolant leak and, in fact, made it worse. I returned to complain and again was given a big “song & dance” about older cars, how difficult & expensive they are to keep running and that a new leak was again discovered. I reluctantly authorized the repair even though I felt uneasy and the owner repeated his interest in purchasing the car. Again, the coolant leak was not fixed. In fact, immediately after I returned home, the coolant leaking from my car covered half of the garage floor. Maybe I am too nice or maybe too naive, but in all my many years of dealing with car repair shops, I have never been more disappointed both with Team Motometrics and with myself for being taken in by the owners’ repeated statements that their work is above reproach. Nothing could be further from the truth. There is a happy ending. I took my car to another repair shop, the coolant leak was fixed efficiently and immediately and much less expensively. Despite Team Motometrics terrible intervention and because I found competent, honest mechanics, my car is now running again like a well-oiled machine. Beware of Team Motometrics!
