Welcome to Motor City Euro Repair, formerly known as Advanced Auto Sports. We have been open since 2002.

We are one of Metro Detroit's leading German auto repair shops. Specializing in BMW, MINI Cooper, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen and Porsche. We offer a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty on our repairs using OEM parts. We have the proper equipment, technicians and knowledge to repair your German vehicle.

We have a fleet of loaner vehicles, a complimentary shuttle service anywhere you need to go and a comfortable waiting area loaded with snacks and refreshments.     Took our BMW 325xi to Advanced Auto Sports and couldn't have been more pleased! They were professional, timely and definitely less expensive than going to the dealership for repairs. Actually the dealership diagnosed me as having to have the drive shaft replaced (and quoted me $1,470 for the repair) but when Advanced looked at it they found out that only the center link needed to be replaced and charged me $388 for the repairs. I appreciate their honesty and prompt efficient service. They just obtained a client for life...I will be bringing my Mercedes to them for its next service. Thanks again guys for the good work!

    These guys are thee very best! Been going here over 6 years. They've worked on my Monte Carlo and my BMW X5 for every issue and they beat the dealer price by half with OEM parts, all the while still working on Lamborghini and Bentley... Go here they know their stuff!

    Very knowledgeable staff, and amazingly fast turn around times! I brought my car in because it had a stutter when accelerating, as well as vibration issues and an Idrive update that would not install. They were able to get everything fixed up very fast at a reasonable price! They were even able to work with my extended warranty to get some of the work covered without me having to pay too much out of pocket! Great communication, and the inside of the lobby is very nice and accommodating with many snacks and drinks! 10/10 would recommend to any BMW or Euro car owner!

    Booked an appointment for a service A on Mercedes-Benz GLE on short notice. Zak was able to Schedule me for the next day. Extremely professional.. Shop is very nice very clean very modern. When driving home my excess Oil light came on which means there was just a little bit of excess oil. I called he explained it wasn’t a big issue but please bring it by and he would like to take care of it. I was there for 15 minutes. I share this to say it’s been my experience when you have an issue it’s usually not the same day they take care of it and the wait time is excessive. Not in this Situation. I would definitely use them for all my auto service needs going forward. The price was less than half than what I would’ve paid at a dealership

    Great experience with Tommy and all the employees at Motor City Euro. They kept me updated on my vehicles repair progress during every step. They were always available for questions. I appreciated their thorough inspection and documentation. I’ll definitely keep using their services moving forward!

    I found this place just by googling for a Porsche auto shop. Website was clean and informative. I gave the shop a call as i was looking for a pre purchase inspection of a 911 that seemed like a pretty fair asking price. I had taken the car for a short spin and found a few things that were not to my liking, but was assured that these things should be corrected once a new battery was installed. Well, thankfully the guys at Motor City Euro Repair gave the car a good look. They found so many issues with this car and detailed it all in a very nice report including photos and video of these issues. Of course, the things that were good about the car were detailed in the report as well. I cannot give higher praise for this place. Even though they are a bit far from my home, when the time comes for me to require service, they have earned my repeat business.

    I recently purchased a new-to-me BMW. I've been looking for an alternative to the traditional (expensive) dealership experience. I called around, and I knew MCE was the place by how I was treated on the phone. Adam was great to speak with, knowledgeable, and helpful in scheduling my appointment. Upon arrival, Tommy greeted me warmly and got me checked in early. He noticed the temp tag in my window and took the time to sit with me in the car to explain some cool features I was unaware of. I came in for a brake fluid flush, and I appreciated the attention to detail, such as vacuuming my car as well as the other complimentary services. While waiting for my car, I could overhear the staff discuss possible charity events they wanted to plan, such as coats for kids and a food drive. This roots them in the community and proves they are not out for a quick buck. I will definitely bring my car back here for service and would encourage anyone with a German car to give them a shot. My Dad has an Audi, and I've already recommended MCE to him. Thank you to the entire team. Your dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed!

    Extremely disappointed. Will never go back. Took '99 VW beetle in for A/C -blowing hot air. They called to say battery was dead when they tried to move it into garage they had to jump start car. They wanted $500 to replace the battery and refused to check the A/C without replacing it. Said they couldn't do their testing. I told them I believe there is a parasitic drain on the battery, but it is not bad. But they refused to do anything without replacing it. I said forget it. $500 for a battery was absolutely unacceptable. It takes 15 min to swap out and the battery is fine. They then charged me $170 for the "inspection" for me to pick up my car. When I arrived, I jump-started my car, took it home, took battery out of it, (in 10 min), took battery to auto store and had it tested. Store fully charged battery, tested and said it is good. Does not need replacement. Auto store did all this for Free!! So here I am out $170 and back to square one. Would never go back. And don't recommend!

    I had a great experience with the team at Advanced. Very detail oriented (you should see their inspection report) and did not try to oversell me. Great service at a decent price. Now I know where to go for all of my BMW service.
