  • One of the best auto repair shops in the area (if not the best). I've talked to three of the technicians here extensively. All were courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable.

You pay for quality and service. They have both here. They use genuine parts and proudly tell you so (most lower end shops don't tell you their parts supplier or it's an Autozone and they use low end subpar replacement parts instead of OEM/genuine parts, this is a big deal).

They thoroughly explain the work to be done and will show you the issue. Yes. Excellent auto service certainly isn't the "cheapest" but I can tell you it COSTS the least. What I mean is that it's MUCH better to have the right parts and CORRECT work done the first time, by competent knowledgeable technicians, rather than have a bunch of unneeded or incorrect low ball "cheap" fixes before the issue is finally resolved which of course is after dozens of phone calls, headaches, and countless times telling your significant other "I AM taking care of it," costing you thousands more in the long run when all you wanted was the car running the way it should THE FIRST TIME.

That's why I like this place. The job is done the correct way, the first time. They hand you an accurate estimate for each project to be done on your vehicle. And they are AAA certified shop.

Also, they are one of the few shops in the area that are certified to work on BMW. And use BMW parts. So if you drive a BMW, then this is a definite no brainer.

I've been burnt before MANY times from bad shops in the area and from dishonest mechanics. As I write this, I'm fighting with another shop (NOT this shop) in the area for dishonest and deceptive practices on one of my other vehicles. No joke. If the issue goes to public record, then I'll record their name and location here.

This shop and these technicians are the real deal. I've found my mechanic. This is it. Highly recommend.

  • I found Al's because I needed a shop that was AAA-approved and I'm so glad I did! I've been coming to Al's for over a year, they are a great group of guys and I don't want to bring my car anywhere else now. Andre is always honest about the work that my car needs, it's not one of those shops where you leave each time with a list of expensive repairs. They also have wi-fi in the office so I can work while waiting for my car. Highly recommend!

  • I consider it a lucky day when I happened to chose Al's to maintain my car after moving to Brick about a year and a half ago. I have the utmost confidence in Chris and Andre and unreservedly recommend Al's Auto Care to everyone I know.

  • I drive about 1000 miles a week for work and my car is my office. If I don't have a car, I can't work. I'm very particular about the shops I use since I rack up the miles and need to have honest, knowledgeable auto care. I had been using a specific shop for years until I moved from Toms River to Brick. I passed by Al's and figured I'd give them a shot since they're close to where I live...and I'm glad I did. Not only are they within walking distance, they're great guys who know what they're doing. They don't just tell you what's wrong with your car, they show you and help you to understand what needs to be done. That impressed me. Too often a mechanic will tell a customer what needs to be done and the customer just has to take their word for it. Plus they're up front about the costs and time of repair and will take the time to go over your bill so that everything is understood, so there are no surprises. I'm glad to have found a new auto repair facility that is clean, friendly, quick, professional and in the neighborhood...because they're going to be seeing a lot of me.

  • If you have a European import and really hate the hassle and high pressure sales job at the dealerships, take your car here. I had a problem with my Mercedes and had taken it to another place....bad move! The other place glued the part rather than correcting the problem. Al's fixed everything, cleaned up the other guys mess and sent me off with a great running vehicle.
Reasonable price, quality work and really nice folks. Don't be stupid, try these guys

  • This shop is amazing. By far the best mechanics in the area. The most professional and very reasonable price vise. They will not charge extra. Very honest. They simply don't lie! Very proficient on all kinds of cars. Including Volkswagen and BMW. Highly recommend!
