All of the service here has been top-notch. We have been taking two vehicles here over the last 25 years. Our most recent experience with Jonathan in the service department was exceptional. He spent a lot of time explaining the problem with our vehicle and let us decide whether to get it repaired.
Very though and upfront business to deal with. Just had my X5 repaired here. Was over $500 less than dealer and they were willing to discuss all aspects of the repair with me. I had this problem looked by the local dealer and they charged me $200+ to "fix" the problem to only have it come back a couple of months later to find out I had a mechanic issue and not a software one. Hans Wittler's Automotive will actually test everything to make sure it is the actual problem and not just charge you a bunch of times to check off boxes on a diag checklist. They also warranty all of their work. After this experience I will be taking all of my vehicles here.

Hans Whittler has been taking care of my Mercedes for over 20 years. They do the most thorough job, at the most reasonable price. They're honest, friendly, helpful. I trust them with all of my cars.
I am posting this review many months after my last service because I wanted to ensure there was no immediate emotional response that was harsher than it needed to be. During my last service, a technician accidentally hit the building with my BMW X5. I will give credit that they owned up to it and took my car to a repair shop. There were minor scratches that remained on the vehicle after the repair that took several days to do. I did inquire about a discount on the service as none was mentioned to me. First, I was told “Oh, no. We don’t give discounts”. Then after stating it would be to keep a customer was given a 10% discount, which I found rather offensive. I work in a service industry, myself, and did not feel this was good customer service. I told myself prior to picking up the vehicle that less than a 20% discount would not do to keep me as a customer. I had previously had good experiences with Hans Wittler Automotive, but this left a very bitter taste in my mouth about the group.
William is a knowledgeable and personable service writer. I dropped off my 911 for a brake check and was given a decent discount because the technician said it was very straight forward and didn't require an in-depth examination. I felt I was treated more than fairly and am quite pleased.
Hans wittler was awesome ! They fit me in first thing in the morning for an oil change and a safety check on a new-to-me car before i set out on an 18hr 1200 mile trip home. The car was flawless and the trip was amazing. Thanks again guys!
All the staff and technicians were great. My car was over-heating and they were able to get it in the same day to start diagnostics before a holiday weekend. They found and fixed the issue with one of the cooling fans and fixed a couple other smaller problems I brought up as well and pro-rated the cost because the car had just been at the Wilshire shop a few days before. They give you itemized reports/ estimates through text and call for you to approve or decline and they have a free ride service that helped me out a ton. Great service. Great shop.
Awesome, honest shop, great family, been going for over 20 years (my 4th BMW, Hanz also worked on my 1971 911), wouldn't trust my cars with anyone else.
They help plan the maintenance to do multiple jobs that save labor and prioritize based on needs of the car and what I can afford. They take the time to talk about my options, very rare.

I do not usually do business reviews, but I am writing this review to share my experience. I have been searching for a good independent shop for months, and I have finally found one that meets my standards . I was tired of paying for dealer service that I felt was mediocre. I took in my Z4 for minor service today. I was so impressed with the knowledge and care they provided. A well run family owned business- rare these days. Prior to my experience I asked BMW, Porsche, and Mercedes owners who they recommended as a good Indy shop. I got mixed reviews but when people talked about Hanz they were pretty passionate, and the were right. I will now take my Mercedes and m BMW there.

Not impressed! When I called I was told they would'nt work on my 95 740i, guess my money is not green enough, I'll have to keep on looking for someone good, at least I know where not to go.
Superb work on my inline 6 530i. A bit of effort but it runs like it did in 2002. Knowledgeable and accessible, both Andreas and Roger know BMWs very well. Fair and honest. Ron has magic hands with these old Bimmers.
Straight up honest mechanics. Have had my wife's X-5 in a couple of times and they are significantly less than the local BMW dealer.
I have only used them for my Porsches. They are a solid, very honest shop. Integrity remains very high under then new ownership of the Wittler brothers after their father passed.
