    John Negus

    Owner & Master Technician

    John opened Larchmere Imports in 1989, and has worked as an import automobile technician in the Cleveland area for over 35 years. His commitment to quality automotive repair and quality customer service has made him a leader in the industry.

    John and his son, Jeffery, are avid participants in the BMW Car Club track schools, and will be happy to share recommendations for Club school participation. Recently, they upped the ante, and have begun participating in BMW club racing.

    I relocated back to Cleveland in the summer of 2016. I needed my front breaks repaired, and to understand why one of my dashboard lights remained on. Larchmere Imports inspected my car, outlined in priority what repairs were needed and delineated the cost associated with each repair. One of the things that impressed me most, was I was given a loaner. The people at Larchmere Imports didn't know me from Adam's church mouse.

    Recently I was contacted reminding me that I needed an oil change. I'd recommend Larchmere Imports without hesitation.

    John & his crew are great technicians and exceeded my expectations for customer service. I was traveling overnight in Cleveland when my car wouldn't start. With temps around 2 degrees they came to the parking garage trying to get it started for 3 hours. Afterward, they arranged to tow the car and next day installed a new starter and plugs and got me on my way home. Throughout the day they kept in touch with me on the progress and gave me a loaner car to use. Not only did they care about getting the car fixed, but also that my son and I were taken care of. I highly recommend Larchmere Imports for anyone living in the Cleveland area of for emergency repairs.

    I took my BMW in with a couple small oil leaks around the sensors in the valve cover, which cost me $1600 to fix. 6 weeks later I detect another small leak from the valve cover area and I take it back in. I am told my valve cover now as a crack in it. WOW, I wonder if them removing it had anything to do with it developing a crack? They say no. They say my valve cover developed a crack under normal driving conditions! They quote me $1400 for a new valve cover and after I elect not to have that service done, they argue with me that they should do an oil change for me at 5000 miles! They tell me not to go by what the car tells me is the correct service interval because BMW is in the business of selling cars...but they are in the business of selling oil changes! In my opinion, they did not own up to their mistake with my valve cover and when I elected not to have that service, they tried to sell me an oil service I did not need! I learned about BMW while living in Germany and these guys are praying on American's experience with U.S. Motor companies ripping us off! If they have so much distrust of BMW, they shouldn't service them! I will not return!

    Larchmere Imports is a top notch shop without top notch prices. As a former owner of a BMW 740il Larchmere Imports provided excellent work on the car I had serviced there. They were very thorough in all their work and often provided other fixes of the cars at no additional charge. They were neat and very professional and would not over sell products or services; an item to find rare today. I Would highly recommend Larchmere Imports to any driver of a high end foreign car.

    My experience with Larchmere Imports has been nothing but positive. I've had my BMW and Volvo serviced here for a couple of years. The quality of work is exceptional. The technicians have even pointed out deficiencies in the repair work done by other BMW shops and corrected them at reasonable or no cost.

    High would highly recommend Larchmere Imports for the knowledge and expertise of their technicians.

    I have used Larchmere Imports exclusively since the late 1990s. They have serviced and maintained five BMWs for my family, one which I bought from them and one which I sold to them. I am extremely satisfied with the high level of service they provide. It takes an intelligent technician to correctly diagnose problems in highly engineered, highly complex, European cars. I trust Larchmere to get it right. They haven’t disappointed me and I highly recommend them.

    I was visiting Cleveland from Florida over Labor dDay weekend and had a headlight blow. I walked into Larchmere Imports without an appointment and was on my way within 30 minutes! Very professional staff, Thanks much!

    Solid staff and very knowledgeable at Larchmere Imports. Really like working on BMWs and do high quality work. Also point out things that may need repair in the future. Reasonable prices and they give free loaner cars when car is being serviced.
