Testimonials

  • Chuck and the folks at Universal transmission were fantastic in getting our vehicle back on the road. His price was good and he had payment options for any budget. Chuck was wonderful to work with and he went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of.

Terrible Service! I would NOT recommend this store to anyone and the only reason I went there in the first place was because they were listed on this site. They claim they have BMW certified technicians, which means one guy who probably used to work for BMW many years ago. The work performed on my 650i was changing the valve cover gasket and intake manifold gasket. The work was quoted and I was guaranteed it will be done over the weekend, which was a determinign factor for me, but ended up taking over a week. A lot of lies and excuses during this time why it was taking this long, while promising extra service (change of oil and air filters) as a consolation. I ended up changing my schedule around and leaving work several times during that week and finally told them I am taking my car since it was obvious they did not know what they were doing. I was told all work was performed (including oil/air filter change) and when I asked for a receipt for the services performed, received only one line with the total price. After insisting to list all the work done item by item, the manager told me to call their Business department since they were 'lump sum' contractors and did not suppose to list individual prices for each component!?!? I've never heard such a stupid response since they listed individual prices before they accepted work, but now somehow it was a 'lump sum' deal. After taking to 'Business manager' they issued list of services with no individual prices. I left since I was done wasting my time talking to these people.

What really tipped me over is the fact they lied about the services performed. I checked my air filters same day and they were dirty, oil level (since I had a leak) was at the same low level as when I brought it in, but the computer was reset as if the oil was changed. My car continued to lose oil which makes me dout even the gasket replacement was done correctly. Needless to say a terrible experience!

After calling all over the place, Universal Transmission was the only place that would clear and reset the codes on my wife's BMW After doing so, the guy helping me told me that cylinder 4 was misfiring and that it was probably the ignition coil. After I replaced it, the car worked perfect. I highly recommend Universal Transmission.
