  • I have owned over the past 40 years a range of unusual italian and German car so have dealt with some very good mechanics. Zyblut Motors is the best in my experience. Great diagnosis. Great repair. Very fair pricing. Service with a capital S. Although I don't live in Amherst, my two aging BMWs and not so old Porsche will all be in Luke Zyblut's hands for any and all repairs. I stumbled on his shop by accident when the air suspension on my dealer maintained 540i went phooey just opposite his shop. A stroke of luck for me. No more dealer maintenance for me...talking through Service Managers and parts depts, who, good as they try to be, don't really know the cars as Luke does.

  • When I moved out of the country a couple of years ago, I had to sell the Mercedes 300D I bought from Luke. I was very, very sad. Luckily, I bought another 300D - this time with a turbo - this past year when I moved to Washington, D.C. I drove the car up to Luke for him to inspect it and give it his seal of approval. He raised it on the lift, visually inspected the whole vehicle, and told me I had done well and made a great find. In the years I have been his customer, Luke not only repaired my cars, but also gave me the education I needed to be able to make sound car-related decisions and perform much of the maintenance myself.

  • Luke was the only person I went to for service on my 1981 300D. He installed a new alternator and battery for me, and got me the absolute best possible price on an Interstate battery and a Bosch alternator. The bill also reflected that he and his employees wasted no time with the installations - the old parts were out and the new ones in right away, with the smallest fraction of the price I paid actually going to labor costs. Luke also was able to find parts for me at great prices whenever I was looking for them. He would always keep an eye out for me and called me when he found something I needed. When my old tires were struck with dry rot, Luke scoured every possible source and found me a great pair of Yokohamas at an astounding price, signed, sealed, and delivered right to his shop. They were installed and I was back on the road the next morning. To add to all of this, Luke did an emergency next-day ignition replacement for me and swapped out a messy oil gauge for m e in another car. I was amazed at the low costs and great physical appearance of the outcomes, considering the great difficulty in completing these repairs.

  • A few years ago, I bought my first car from Luke. It was like buying a car from a big brother. He guided me through the entire process, and even made me test drive cars other than the one I loved, just to make sure I made an educated decision when it came time to buy. After I bought the car (Mercedes 300D), Luke drove me to the Connecticut DMV so I could register my new car, and even spotted me a little cash when I came up short for the tax. I have gone to Luke for everything car related ever since, and even brought my mom to Luke a few years back. She has come back to him ever since. My whole family now relies on Luke.

  • Luke is the best. He is honest, knowledgeable, smart, and decent. I brought my BMW 325xi wagon to him until it was totaled. During the life of the car it needed a variety of repairs, and all of them were done in a timely fashion and at rates much lower than those charged by the local dealer. I look forward to having the opportunity to bring my car to him in the future (now driving a Murano, so this will have to wait). When I have been in the market for cars, Luke has helped me out in finding the right car, and he is generous with his time and knowledge. When I mention his name around town, everyone speaks of him and his shop in glowing terms.

Back in 2004 we bought our first new car, a 2004 BMW 325xi, we enjoyed the car for 14 years, following all recommended service and the occasional replacement of parts that wear out. Last fall we gave the car to our son so he could get around at college. The car worked well for several months but last monday he called and said there was steam coming out from under the hood and looking at it noticed that the clamp to the radiator hose had failed. He didn’t know where to have it fixed so I looked on the internet I found Zbylut Motor Works and read the reviews, I called and talked to the owner, his name is Luke. To get the car to the shop my son asked his grandpa for help, they bought a clamp to tighten one of the hoses as a temporary fix so he could drive it to the shop. After Luke inspected the car, he emailed us a list/condition report. The years had caught up with the car and many parts composed of rubber had perished and needed replacement. It was a bit of a shock to learn that so much work needed to be done and my husband was away so I asked a lot of questions and Luke took his time and explained to me so I could understand what needed to be done. He recommended what needed to be done versus what should be done so my son can drive safely and I can decide what to do with the rest later. After I texted/emails and talk to him I decided to have all the works done there. I never met him but I feel like I can trust him with my son car. He’s very patience, very nice and very easy to talk to. Oh, and the charges are fair too. After my son picked up the car, he said “it drives smooth as butter” that pretty much says it all and I now have peace of mind that he’s driving a safe and reliable vehicle.

Luke is a great resource, very nice and knowledgeable. Prices are very competitive and his personability makes Zbylut Motor Works highly recommended compared to going to the dealer.

Luke at Zbylut Motor Works is the BEST! He used to work on my 540i/6 M-Sport and I never worried about it. I've since moved to Philly and are still looking for someone close to his skill-professionalism-knowledge level.
