About 5 years ago I was looking for an independent mechanic after South Bay BMW gave me a ridiculous estimate. I was recommended Auto Werkstatt by family friends who have been taking their cars there for years & after the first visit, I understood why & have been doing the same. Kenny (& team) is reliable, honest & very reasonable. He always gives thorough explanations & options. I have twice brought my car in for extensive diagnoses & he wouldn't take any money for it. I will never bring my cars elsewhere.
Having recently moved to the area, looking for an auto shop, I really didn't know where to go. Then I read the reviews of several places around and found such glowing reviews on Auto Werkstatt, I decided to see for myself. I was not disappointed.
Kenny was very knowledgeable and helpful. He answered my call (after hours) and made sure my car was ready the day before Thanksgiving. He was fair and gave advice that would not have necessarily been to his benefit. To me, this is a sign of a smart businessman who knows that it's more important to be honest than make a quick buck. He was very personable, and I felt like a valued customer.
I will definitely take my car back to him, and will recommend him to my fellow BMW drivers!
I have had many mechanics over the years and Kenny and his crew at Auto Werkstatt are by far the best. Auto Wekstatt was recommended to me by a neighbor when I purchased my 2004 BMW just over a year ago and they definitely lived up to their reputation. Ken was very helpful with the decision to purchase my vehicle; he assessed its condition and provided me with recommendations for necessary and possible repairs. His price quotes were fair and his recommendations were honest.
The car was in immediate need of a brake job which I obtained a second quote from South Bay BMW. Not only was Ken’s quote less expensive, but I was thoroughly unimpressed by the customer service at the dealership after having dealt with Kenny. Obviously, I went with Auto Werkstatt and could not have been more pleased.
The work was scheduled immediately and delivered less than 24 hours later, as promised. The price was solid, with no hidden fees or surprises. Ken and his crew used 100% BMW parts and provided quality service. I could not have been a more satisfied customer.
Now, over a year later, Ken and his guys have performed my oil changes, changed out a battery, and assisted me with questions about my car. I always get the best service and know I am dealing with only the best in their field.

We have taken our Porsche and BMW vehicles to Auto Werkstatt for years. Ken, the owner, always calls it as he sees it as though your car were his own vehicle, and he has saved us a lot of money over the years avoiding unnecessary repairs. Most recently he really went out of his way to diagnose a difficult electrical problem, even trying a couple different fixes at his own expense until the problem was finally identified and resolved. If you live in the South Bay and own a BMW or Porsche, Auto Werkstatt is the place to go!
Auto Werkstatt is a FANTASTIC BMW/Porsche/Mercedes auto repair shop. I've been taking cars to, and buying cars from, Auto Werkstatt for over 15 years, and NEVER once had a problem. In fact, the owner, Ken, and his staff all take great pride in providing the highest quality and friendly service. Auto Werkstatt also provides excellent cost savings. High performance European cars are not exactly cheap to maintain or buy. Auto Werkstatt's charges and prices, though, have always been reasonable and well below what I would have been forced to pay at a dealership. Because of a time crunch, I made the mistake, once, of taking my car to a dealership for what I thought was routine maintenance, but almost had to mortgage my house to pay the bill. I'd give Auto Werkstatt a five star rating (out of five possible stars) any day.
