I am so happy about my BMW repair experience at GI Automotive and Amber is very knowledgeable indeed. She offered fair prices and quality service on the roof repair done on my convertible 328. It took them only a day and when I picked up my bmw, it was washed and cleaned. I paid less than half of what the bmw dealer across the street quoted me for my roof problem (not to mention the taxes!), so I am definitely recommending GI Automotive for any bmw service and repair if you’re in Santa Monica or los angeles. Definitely coming back for my routine maintenance which I‘ve already set up and scheduled with Amber and the team. Keep up the good work, guys!

I was convinced that I needed new brake pads for my 335i after I felt it performing rather poorly. Then I stumbled upon a post on social media about a brake repair in Santa Monica. We’ve just recently moved to Los Angeles and I was looking for a good BMW service specialists in Los Angeles. I spoke with Amber and she was tremendously helpful in getting me new brake pads that were fairly priced. I went to their shop,I initially thought I was going to have sticker shock but they were very fair! They examined my bimmer and informed me that the front disks were badly warped so a replacement was necessary. Fair enough considering how much I drive. Conveniently enough, GI Automotive is true to their promise of a same-day brake service and they did servicing with as little expense in time and cost as possible. It is surprising what a difference getting your brakes and rotors replaced can do for the car. I am one happy customer just sharing my good experience with GI Automotive and hoping you’ll have the same!

My M5 started acting up recently and I figured perhaps it was simply needing maintenance. I honestly had been pretty busy lately so I didn’t have time to get it checked. I wasn’t quite sure why I was getting some overheating issues, but for some reason the engine oil cooler was disconnected! Friends recommended I get professional service from the BMW mechanics at GI Automotive. The guys were very helpful in explaining to me how important oil checks are for my M5 and that I need to keep a lookout for the oil temperature, level, and pressure. I was told that the reservoir is supposed to hold about 8.5 liters and if the oil cooler isn’t connected, it’ll be down to 5 liters in the engine sump. Hence, the overheating problem. Good thing the engine wasn’t damaged and I was able to get professionals to work on my BMW fast! They fixed the oil cooler and they even checked the compression on all the cylinders. I was very pleased with their work that I’ve set up a routine maintenance to be done at their Santa Monica repair center. I’m definitely recommending them!
