Owner Chris Long has been working on BMWs since he bought his first one over 15 years ago. He worked for a large independent BMW shop in Rockville, Maryland for 5 years, where he had the pleasure of working on many beautiful and rare BMWs commonly featured in Bimmer Magazine, Bavarian Autosport and Roundel. He has personally owned seven BMWs, and currently drives a 2001 M5, a 2002 525i and a 1998 740iL.
After taking a break to pursue other career opportunities, he realized that working on BMWs was his true passion. He wanted to get back to making a living doing something that he loved. Personal and professional customer service, honesty, efficiency and great value are what keep our customers returning and sending referrals from other local BMW owners.

I just can’t say enough about Bavarian Werkstatte! They are just fantastic, friendly and fast! I have taken both my BMWs to them and have gotten nothing but excellent service! Parts are guaranteed for 2 years and very reasonable labor costs for BMW. Shop is very nice and only lacks a glass of wine while you wait. Chris the owner is a character and is just hard not to like. These guys are the true professionals for BMW repair and servicing in Southern Utah - go to Bavarian Werkstatte! I was told I needed a $1200 repair by another BMW repair shop due to supposed sensor faults. Went to Bavarian Werkstatte for a second opinion, and the owner, Chris, spent 45 minutes with me diagnosing the issue. In the end I did not need any repairs - Chris did not even charge me for the time spent with me. His operation is professional and honest.
When visiting St George, my BMW was having problems. It would overheat without notice as well as would shut off without warning. Not wanting to risk the trip back home without having it looked at we looked at the reviews for Bavarian Werkstatte and they were very positive so we decided to give it a try. Chris met us after hours to drop off the car, diagnose it and then give us a loaner vehicle. Because 2 major parts had to be shipped in he thought it would take 2 days to repair. Instead the parts came in the next day (the last part arrived about 4:45pm). He and his team had the car prepared to install the last part and worked past closing to get us out and on the road. On our trip home he texted us to make sure things were running smoothly.
I give Chris and his shop the highest recommendation. My only regret is that he doesn't have a shop near my home so that he could service both my BMWs.

I took my BMW 318i for the first time the day after I purchased it. The window was stuck down and I had to drive it in the cold home from California, and to make it worse the heater hadn't worked either. I was upset because I had thought that I had bought a car with a lot of problems. I ran into a man that owned a BMW M3, and I asked him if he knew any good BMW mechanics. He very quickly, and enthusiastically, referred me to Chris at Bavarian Werkstatte. He was very happy to tell me how awesome Chris is, the staff, and their shop, almost as if he was bragging. And boy was he right! The Service at Bavarian Werkstatte is absolutely top notch, Chris and his staff are very knowledgeable, and his shop is so clean that you could eat off of the white floors! They offered me part of their pizza for lunch while I waited for my window to get fixed, and also gave me a very clean car to drive to pick up my son from school while my car was out of commission. They have a full coffee, snack, and drink bar, which they refused to let me pay for! And his prices were more than reasonable! I cannot recommend Bavarian Werkstatte any more highly. I will never take my BMW anywhere else! You just don't get service like this anywhere else!
We found ourselves stranded in a canyon on the Arizona - Utah border. We managed to limp into St. George Utah on a Saturday evening at about 5:30 p.m. I looked up Bavarian Werkstatte, and called and left a message on the off chance that someone would hear it before Monday morning. My goal was just to have them expecting me first thing Monday morning, but instead, at about 11:15 p.m. I got a text from Chris, apologizing to me for not having his work phone on him while he was at the fair! He offered to come and diagnose the car in the hotel parking lot, on a Sunday, and that's exactly what he did. He drove our car back to his shop, and his wife followed him, just to be sure he made it. We needed a new fuel pump which is not something a small shop normally has on hand, but he knew we were in a hurry to get back on the road. He had one of his guys stay an extra night in Salt Lake City, in hopes of scooping up the part first thing Monday morning. No such luck, they were out of stock. So what did Chris do? He got in his car and drove to Las Vegas to get the part for us. Straight there and straight back, and he had us on the road by 3 p.m. Unbelievable service! We also received two follow-up calls as we were racing our way across country. I can't recommend Chris any more highly, you just don't get service like this anywhere!

The Lewis family wants to thank the Longs of Bavarian Werkstatte for their unsurpassed professionalism and old-fashioned customer service. We were stranded on a Friday night in St George, miles from our home in Burbank, with a faulty water pump in my wife’s 2006 325I. I contacted Chris Friday evening and he said he’d swing by the motel Saturday morning to diagnose the problem. True to his word Chris came by, diagnosed the problem, offered to take us to a car rental, and drove the BMW to the shop. Chris rush ordered the parts from Vegas and worked into Monday night so I would have the car Tuesday morning. When I got home Tuesday evening I received a call from Chris wanting to know if I’d made it home safely. WOW people just don’t do things like that anymore!
